E: Chile?
That´s right. I am in Arica, all the way up north in Chile. This morning Renato (see "X: Rio") dropped me off at the aiport after some great days in Rio (more to come from there), and I flew via Sâo Paulo and Santiago to get to Arica.I was not supposed to end up here, but the night bus was full and there is nothing taking me towards Bolivia before tomorrow morning at.
9:30 I will leave for La Paz, which will take me another 8 hours in bus. But at least I´ll be all right tomorrow night.
Spanish is much easier to communicate in than portugese, mainly because Spanish is what I have been studying. But this sudden change of plans and limitation of words and key phrases makes it hard - since I do not have anyone to consult but my own brain.
But I made it so far, I survive with what I know, and I will learn heaps from this.
I am about to crash at a local house/hotel for 3000 pesos - whatever that is in a currency you know. :)
I like adventure, and this is certainly what I get around here. Bolivia awaits tomorrow.
