E: 15336000 seconds down under

It is nearly ten weeks since passenger 43K on flight TG 933 exited the Thai Air carrier and step out onto Australian airport floor. Although the arrival is still fresh in my memory, heaps of goings-on have partaken in my life in between then and present.

The school semester is already in its ninth out of only 13 weeks. This makes the breaks long and the education compressed. My subjects are solid insight providers though. Spanish is by far the most favourable as I get to explore a new world tongue.

Soccer and volleyball is officially over for this year, although indoor practices might be lining up soon. Netball was explored for the first time ever Friday. Running occurs frequently, and I hope to get some tennis and squash underway soon.

Australia through Melbourne through Chisholm College has provided me with a safe, comfortable, practical and especially social home. There is always something going on, and a number of great people with whom one can postpone homework. The weekly rent and distance from the city centre is questionable, but the accommodation alternative will have to be extremely good if I am to stay anywhere else next semester.

The most important thing in my life is God. Bundoora Presbyterian Church has been my church of worship ever since I arrived. Here I have been provided with teaching, companionship and the invitation to join the Northern Pumas soccer team. Christian and International Christian Union on and off campus have supplied with gaining and healthy friendships and various offers to different Christian happenings. Every Wednesday at 1 PM I go to a small bible study group, originally for Arts students. Starting last Wednesday I also attend Chisholm Bible Study at Wednesday nights.

In short; School is really hectic for the time being. But I truly enjoy myself down under. Friends, church. sports and likeness the European culture, made the adjusting part easy.
