E: Small important things 2

¤ My update absence is caused by spare time disappearance. With only one more week of school, including written and oral Spanish exam and an analysis in journalism production workshop, the work pressure floats sky high here down under. A major essay due November 8 and my one and only exam the 11th is not forgotten either.

¤ Today was a D-day. I received my worst grade ever; D+, on a listening comprehension test in Spanish. The speaker volume was appropriate during the test, I could hear, but it was still as if I couldn’t listen. Speedy Spanish which make you think of you the words and phrases you don’t know – and boom; you missed a paragraph. Except for 1,5 mini exceptions (C’s on some minor tests several years ago), I’ve never been below B, which made the impact severe. A run reassured me that it’s all about what you learn and not grades that do matter.

¤ A floor dinner tonight with lasagne a la Luke, a fish dish with rice a la Yutaka, a cabbage dish a la Wei Giap and Norwegian porridge filled stomachs and minds with good stuff.

¤ Shark Tale is an animated recommendation if you get a chance to see it.

¤ Yesterday I dropped by Chisholm’s sport galla after the Chisholm Bible study for about 20 minutes. Five seconds after arrival they announced my name and gave me a diploma as runner up for the Boys’ squash (I played for Chisholm in a tournament earlier in the semester). Talking about timing.

¤ My digital life, including pictures, music and various documents, fills 3 DVDs. I did a computer back-up the other day. Since March 2003 when I purchased my digital camera I’ve taken over 10.000 pictures (6GB) (that I haven’t deleted).

¤ My fellow Christian peers in Australia are in average somehow more / different dedicated to Christ. I like that, and it makes me really conscious about how I really want to take God more seriously into my everyday and everything.
