E: House trashing (image)

Today in church I got this mental image of what Jesus did and does for me. I am in this room with a baseball bat. Everything inside is brand new, spectacular and bit time valuable. Even though I now I really shouldn’t, I go crazy trashing the place with the bat. When I’m done, a maintenance guy voluntarily comes and spends forever to repair, renovate and replace whatever was broken at his own expense. Unjustly I get away from the damages I caused for free.

Yesterday I ordered tickets for mid semester break travel. Bell (see the picture section) and I are going to Alice Spring (Friday 24th) to go for a three-day safari, including, of course, Ayer’s rock. The following Tuesday we’ll fly to Sydney and meet up with some other friends (Flavia, James, Daniel, possibly Kele and Cherrien). Then Saturday morning we’ll catch a bus to Canberra, and fly home to Melbourne at night. It will be great.

Friday was Pete’s farewell party. The lad is going back to Thailand next Friday. He’s happy to go, sad to leave. The classical paradox. Included was a whole bunch of finger food, desert, quizzes on Pete and Thailand, nice people, music.
