E: Upbeat everyday rhythm

Life scamper along a few gears faster than resting pulse. But I like challenges, and a friend of my claimed that eventloaded and joy is closely related. I’m an optimist and can dig that thought. Nonetheless, the fact that I did not watch a single event from the games of the rings is unsporting. There is a first time for everything.

Spring, or primavera as it’s called in Spanish, is on the roll. Occasionally the star of our solar system will shine hard and warm. Other days there are more cats and dogs coming out of the sky, than kangaroos in this country.

My week is busy, primarily with school. Assignments are always due soon, and readings never seize to occupy study time. The semesters around here may be short, but they sure are hectic.

So was the weekend, although in a slightly more social way. The church soccer team of mine had a 3-0 win in our 2. division Saturday. I’m playing center midfield for the Northern Pumas, and get to run around as much as I’d like. September 11th is our next and last game of the season.

Friday night I went downtown to Richmond Assembly of God. Accompanied by two friends, Chris from Oregon and Kishor from Nepal, we participated in one great R&B-nite with Chido, my Zimbabwean friend, as a central character. The whole performance was follow-through and professionally done with music, rapping battle, Australian Idol parody and testimonies. A couple of hundred youth came, spread on the entire colour spectre of human skin.
